Two patch programs any leader can run from a single page, built around the Bestie Knows cipher-detective books. This free 3-page PDF is the overview we send to councils.

Rookie Sleuth — ages 7–9. One code (the Caesar wheel every kid builds and keeps), a team code, an experiment on their own body, and a case of eight short clues that names a real culprit. Four cases: wrinkly fingers, dizzy, tummy growl, goosebumps. Ninety minutes. Brownies, Cub Scout dens, clubs, grades 2–3.

Brain Sleuth — ages 9–14. Three real ciphers — Caesar, Atbash, substitution — a code relay, a body-science experiment matched to the case, and a 20-clue case with a Master Case File the kids fill in by hand. Two hours, or two one-hour meetings. Juniors, Cadettes, Scouts BSA, clubs, grades 4–8.

Both end the same way: the verdict becomes a four-digit code that opens a locked envelope with the patches inside.

What's in the PDF: the two programs, one page each · how a council posts them (free) · what a leader needs, with the supply list · pack and Club License prices · patch ordering.

No screens. No props. Pencils, tape, brass fasteners, one sheet of card stock per kid.
